Bernardo Gonzalez Zavala

Bernardo is an Economist from the Monterrey Tec and holds an MBA from Babson University.

He commenced his entrepreneurial life launching PROBEAR (a cement micro-packaging company) before his 24th birthday, to later sold it to a multinational firm.

He has vast experience in Private Equity (Sumitomo Corp) and M&A (DASEIN GROUP) to later join as CFO of a public company (Marti)

In 2005 Bernardo gathered a group of investors to purchase EXIM. A leading food distribution company in Cancun, for 10 years he served as CEO and in 2015 Bernardo sold EXIM to a leading strategic operator while increasing operations 10X and giving a return to investors of 5X. (Nespresso and Unilever two of the key partners in EXIM operation).

In 2015 he Co Founded, Cascada Fund, with various investments in Energy, Health and Wellness and Mobility.

Bernardo commutes between Cancun and Mexico City, is married and father of two girls. He is in the Board of various local companies and has previously served as professor of Capital Markets in the Monterrey Tec.

Carlos Gomez Andonaegui

Carlos is co-founder and chairman of Nebia, a start-up based in San Francisco set on redefining the future standard of water use. Nebia is a Y-Combinator company.

Carlos is co-founder of Cascada Fund, an innovation platform and investment vehicle based in Mexico City. Currently Cascada is focused in Wellness, Sustainable Energy and Mobility, having controlling investments in companies such as ODISA, SUPPORTIKA and has the exclusive distribution rights to Technogym.

Mr. Gómez Andonaegui served for four years as Chairman of the Board of Endeavor Mexico. Endeavor is the leading global movement to catalyze long term economic growth by selecting the best high impact entrepreneurs.

In 2015, Carlos co-wrote and co-produced a documentary film called Kingdom of Shadows. Directed by Bernardo Ruiz and produced by Participant Media, the film debuted at SXSW. In July 2017, Kingdom of Shadows was nominated to an EmmyAward.

Previously, Mr. Gomez Andonaegui worked for seven years as CEO of Grupo Martí, a Mexican public company leader in sports retail and health clubs. During his tenure, Martí more than doubled operations and net profits. Carlos is a Board Member in several private and public companies, including Grupo Inter, La Vasconia, VOIT and Thermion. Since 2012 Carlos is part of the Group of Fifty, a group of Latin American Business Leaders.

Carlos holds a Mechanical and Electrical engineering degree from Monterrey Tec, an MBA from IPADE and is a graduate of the Stanford Leadership Program, he is also a regular columnist at CNN/Expansion.
